The work that the Dan Rhodes Foundation does in raising funds to raise awareness of mental health issues is used in part to assist the work of two good causes in the fight against depression:
The Blurt Foundation was set up to make a difference to anyone affected by depression. They have an online community that lets people talk about it with being judged and gives a safe environment for support and help. They provide support on how to deal with it and how to broach the subject with those closest to you.
They can help you to be yourself. The founder of Blurt, Jayne Hardy, gave a Ted Talk on depression which is a great start on how it feels.
Mind is a mental health charity who provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
For over 60 years Mind has worked to improve the lives of all people with experience of mental health problems. Through public campaigns, government lobbying and more than 1,000 services the local Minds have delivered in communities across England and Wales and have touched millions of lives.
TSA (Tech Search Associates) have been a partner in raising money and awareness as part of their CSR policy. TSA staff helped raised money by completing Total Warrior in 2016 and they also donated £1400 to charity following their annual awards. TSA are a recruitment company that believe they can have a positive impact on peoples lives and are trying to do that both through their work in sourcing high quality Construction, Engineering and Property workers but also through their commitment to good causes.
