Wiggle Yorkshire Tour Sportive

I was due to take part in the Epic version of the above sportive on 8 August, however, due to the rigours of completing the Yorkshire Tough Mudder and the lack of time spent on my bike I have decided that I am going to complete the event but will take on the shorter distance (37 miles rather than 103 miles). As a result of the setbacks I’ve had so far I am not as fit as I thought I would be by this stage and don’t want to jeopardise the future events by getting ill or injured as a result of pushing myself too far. The Tough Mudder has taken more out of me than I expected and I’m not getting any younger so it’s taken longer than expected to get over.

As a result of this I’m going to reschedule the 103 miles through the Yorkshire Dales for a point later in the year when I am able to complete it to the best of my ability rather than cancel it completely. This will mean that the attempt will be unsupported but I am confident that I will be able to complete it after sufficient time on my bike.
